When I struck upon the idea of a painting of the venue where we got married as a Valentine's Day present for my wife, I was struck by the fact there were none I could find anywhere...and then I found Jan Adams. Jan had actually done a watercolour of our wedding venue some time in the past which I really liked and, with a couple of clicks, I was able to commission her to do the same picture again. With constant updates, sketches and layouts, Jan was brilliant in keeping me aware of progress and seeking my approval at key stages. And then, as promised, the painting arrived - beautiful and it brought back happy memories of a lovely day. Amazing since I'd not actually left her a lot of time to do it and so to receive something to such a high standard in rapid time was a real bonus. On the appointed day, and having purchased a frame and wrapped it up, I presented the painting to my wife who was absolutely thrilled. So much so, that she asked if Jan would do another for us to make a pair. Proving the beautiful painting and superb service were not a "one off", Jan repeated the process of continuous updates and produced a gorgeous original watercolour based off a few photos that I sent over. I guess, you won't be surprised to read that I rate Jan exceptionally highly for her work. And for any of you wondering what to get as an anniversary present, a keepsake or as a memory, based on my experience, an original by Jan would "tick all the boxes". If you got married at Bury Court Barn, check out the ones Jan painted for us and I'm sure you'll be agree that she's captured the beauty, the colours and atmosphere of the place. I would also emphasise that reading the words "original watercolour" shouldn't put you off or frighten you when it comes to the price - they are astonishingly good value for money in my opinion.
