How it all started
Hi, my name is Jan Adams and welcome to my creative world.
My story starts when I was a little girl always painting and drawing. In school I studied art and wanted to take it further but was encouraged to take up secretarial studies instead, so 'I would never be out of work'. Indeed this has stood me in good stead as luckily, I have never been out of work.
I love doing anything craft related and started going to craft fairs and really enjoyed it. I made gem tress, cuddly toys, you name it. I realised I enjoyed painting really tiny things and started to specialise in dollhouse miniature paintings and attended various specialist Dollhouse Fairs in London.
Things changed when a work colleague asked me to paint his house as an Anniversary gift for his wife. I found I really enjoyed the creative process of painting something which forms so many happy memories and provides a lasting keepsake to treasure.

BEING CREATIVE
I also paint just for myself and let my creativity really take hold. I enjoy exploring different media and textiles, and my latest interest is woven wall hangings. This is THE most incredibly relaxing thing I have found and am hoping to add finished pieces to my shop.
